This beautiful microscope, that retains its original lacquer, stands on a horseshoe foot. The cylindrical pillar ends with a compass joint that supports the limb, with an arm for the body tube. Coarse focus is by rackwork by two knurled knobs, fine focus is on the top of the limb by a micrometric screw. Under the stage the condensor group, that comprises a moveable filter, can rotate on a side hinge passing through the stage and that ends with a knurled knob; another pin stops it in the right position under the hole. The two sided reflecting mirror can slide up and down along a squared arm.
