The mahogany case with handle atop has two brass hooks, and the microscope is put horizontal.
At the bottom of the case there is a removable tray divided in two parts for keeping forceps, glass plates, slides, and ecc. Above this fits another tray to receive the accessories.
These include two pairs of eyepieces, four objectives with brass caps signed respectively: 2 in, ½, ¼, 1/8; a camera lucida, a lieberkuhn with a brass cap, a Nicol prism polarizer, an achromatic condenser, a Wenham's parabolic reflector for dark-field illumination, a micrometer slide divided in 1/100 inch, two live boxes, a diaphragm, a brass box for glass filters and several glass slides, stage forceps and parallel plate compressor.
