The mahogany box, with a lift-out tray, is lined with green velvet. The pillar screws in a boss in the lower edge of the box. A concave mirror pins into the pillar and the stage pins into a bracket moved by rackwork for focusing. The body tube screws into a horizontal sliding bar on the top of the pillar, with the securing screw missing. There are three objectives, but only one is marked 2. The accessories include a live box with an insect wing, an ivory slide and a brass slide. Moreover, an additional brass rectangular stage is present, probably ordered by the first owners, for observations different from the standards ones of larger objects.
